When we first see someone — both in person or in video — our bodies start producing dopamine which gets us excited and oxytocin which helps us become more “in sync” when we bond.
It’s easy to create those chemicals in person. We shake hands, fist bump, hug, and then make eye contact. You’ve probably concluded the problem by now: we can’t do all this through video calls.
